I was a pharmacy major, but i changed my major to Graphic Design. I know that it is a 360 turn, but i have pssion for art, poetry, and music. i just transfered to the University of Long Beach but i live in Beverly Hills. I will be honest i don't have that much experience but i am fast with coming up with fresh ideas, and i can work in a fast paste environment. I will give it all, all i am asking is for a shot.

go to commarts.com

you can select your region and search by category, industry, level, location, etc.

it's all digital arts, so there is a good chance it can help you out. also, check with the head of your graphic design department, they should get stuff from local places looking for design students for interns. at least my graphic design profs did in college.

I went to design school, and they had a "career services" department set up. They were very good at setting us up with paid internships. Long Beach is a very good design school, so I'm sure they have something similar available to you. Also, the companies they'd set you up with would have to answer to the school if they screwed you over somehow.
You should ask one of your design teachers.

Check out sites like craigslist.com. They have listings for positions like that. I am a graphic designer myself and I look there all the time and I have found a few positions there. The thing that you should focus on is practicing your craft as much as you can.
