ET was that bad?

It was indeed Atari with their 2600 version of E.T.
The company got many of the cartridges returned. It was a terrible game and so they decided to dump it in a landfill.

When kids started going there and taking the copies to sell at pawn shops, Atari came back and poured some cement over them.

At least that's how the legend goes, I have a site that details the info, but I can't remember the URL at the moment.

Wasn't it ET for like the Atari or NES? It sold so horribly that they had a bunch of unsold copies. I could be wrong.
