I don't feel anyone will bring peace into Iraq. Basically, you have the Iranians funding the Shi'ites, the Sunnis apparently are going to start recieving aid from the Saudis in the form of money, weapons and logistical support. The Kurds in the North are pretty autonomous already and are actually loathed to be a part of Iraq. In the end, I think that all of the sides are going to keep killing each other and the last man standing will win.

IF (big IF) there's peace anytime soon, it won't come from Bush. Mainly becuase everybody there see's him as the devil. Its going to take a coalition of others from the region to stabilize Iraq.
Now, if Bush engages those folks and works some miracle of dimplomacy, then maybe he can be the one who gets people to chill out.
What's really stuipid of these people is that, the more they fight, the longer the US stays. If they'd chill-out and allow iraq to chill-out, the US would leave.

There will be no peace until the Prince of Peace returns.
Luke 21:25-28
Matthew 24:3-14
As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. "Tell us," they said, "when will this happen and what will be the sign of you coming and of the end of the age?"
Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains. Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.
Read on...seems we are rapidly coming into these times.

Maliki and an important shiek who's seeing Bush on Thursday have rejected regional involvement. It's all anybody's guess what will happen.
