We're more secure but not secure pe se. Before 9/11 there were tons of open security holes in airport security, financing etc. Now there is more security in airports, there's been crack down on terrorist financing ability and I'm sure there are more agents in CIA, FBI, etc. seeking out the terrorists.

There are still plenty of open targets tho and there's no telling when/if we may get attacked again. It IS a bit of a surprise tho-- methinks, they realized such an attack was a strategic blunder.

Personally, I feel we are more secure - I suspect the terrorists, as a whole, have their hands pretty much full with the war in Iraq.

Then again, I bet the people in NY felt pretty secure overall in the early morning of 9/11.

However, I don't think any civilized nation in the world that doesn't kiss the Islamic terrorists' asses should get too comfortable until this demented ideology is put behind us.

Heavens no.....we're so far from secure it's not funny. It's not a matter of "if" but when. They're importing illegal foods from other countries. Hardley any of the stuff comming through the ports are checked. The border is wide open with thousands comming daily. About all they've successfully done, is get us used to "big brother".

I think we are safer now, and thought i think there is a realistic possibility that there will be another terrorist attack, i think that it will be unsuccessful in accomplishing it's goal: to cause terror.

I'm sure we will get attacked again, but since we haven't yet, I'd have to say a little safer. No thanks to our extremely porous borders!
