Why isn't the Nintendo Wii able to read photos on my USB Flash Drive?

The Wii is not setup and probably does not even have the proper drivers to do so. So will need to use SD memory for this use, sorry.

The Wii doesn't use USB's to upload pictures. SD cards are the only way.

They could be in a format not compatable with the Wii. I would suggest changing them to Jpeg or Gif files.
