i hav quite a few friends all over the world because i've travellled a lot. problem is, these ppl are very good friends of mine and i feel so ashamed wen they remember my birthday because i can never really remember theirs!
its happened so many times that i've completely forgotten a friend's birthday and then i just spend my time apologizing or sending belated e-cards.
does anyone else hav a problem with that?? just curious to know, am i an ignorant friend?

You are on a computer. Use a calendar program to remind you.

No, you're not that ignorant a friend. I do that all the time. I've taken to putting them into my phone calendar, and setting a reminder for a couple of days before (even if their birthday is next year!) so I won't forget! Plus I write it on a paper calendar, in case something happens to my phone. If something happens to the paper calendar after the phone dies, then I'm really screwed!!! : )

I have the same problem. I have started programming all of my friends b-days in my phone and set reminders 5days before so it will remind me.

You are not the only one! Then again I do not care about b-days.....
Start writing down everyone's b-days somewhere. This way you will keep your friendships, and no hurt feelings..

I always forget the date but not the month...I usually ask "what are you doing for your birthday?"
