has any girl had there pierid at sixteen but im 14 and every one keeps makingfun of me????what should i dooooo

well i started at 10.... most girls have strted by 14 but not all

Mine came when I was twelve. C'est la vie. There's not much you can do. It's a fact of life, everyone is different. Early puberty is a time of unbelievable unsecurity, the best thing to do is to accept that you're different then they are, and get over it. It's okay, and I'm sorry someone isn't realizing that, you don't deserve that, no one does. But things will look up, and everyone goes through something like that. I'm one of the shortest in my grade, and I've come to terms with it.

why are they making fun of you, because they think you are late or early????? It is typical to begin menstruating between 12-15 years old. I remember I was 13. My cousin just started and she is 11 yo.
I find girls are starting at younger ages now, but that is not necessarily healthy. It's believed that the hormones from cattle that we get milk and meat from are causing this.
Other kids will pick on you, for any reason at all. They will make things up, even...just to find your weakness and feel more powerful than you. do not let them gain that power over you. once they see that it is not a weakness for you, and that you will not allow them to have that power over you, they will move on and look for someone else to try their manipulations on. And if they are this immature, they are not the kind of people to look to for approval or the opinions you want to rely on.

I got mine at 9... And although "the changes" started then also, I absolutely hated it... Yours will come when your body is ready, so relax and enjoy it... Pretty soon you'll have to be dealing with all kinds of messy situations, include the abiltiy to have a baby... But until then, celebrate, don't let other girls make fun of you, GIRLS ARE DEFINATELY STUPID AT THAT AGE, and some unfortunately are still stupid 10 years from that age...

you are lucky, you don't have to worry about cramps and dealing with a monthly menstruation. I know you feel like the odd duck and that something is wrong with you, but you are normal. If you turn 16 and you still haven't gotten your period then you should worry and go to the doctors. Also, ask your mom when she got her period, if the women in her family got their and your dads get their period lat then so will you, but if they all got it before the age of fourteen then wait till your 16 to worry.Other than that enjoy it, you are going to deal with your period for 40+ years-enjoy the freedom while it lasts.

Everyone starts at different times! That is so horrible that everyone makes fun of you for it because its not like you can change it! But once you get it, trust me, you will not want it! And I didn't start mine until like 2 weeks before I turned 15.
Talk to your mom (even though its embarassing) about when she started hers because it is a genetic thing! And, if your worried, go to the doctor. Just tell your mom thast worried about it and that you would like to go see the doctor jsut to make sure verything is alright!

There are advantages to starting late, and it is not all that unusual. If you don't tell your friends things that are none of their business they won't have an excuse to make fun of you. Don't worry about the situation. You're not unique in this experience and it is not considered a problem.

Hey i got mine in 5th grade (I am now 27 yrs. old), so that made me what... 12 yrs old. Don't listen to all those other girls, it's a part of life, and it's just a way to let you know that your body is ready to begin the stages of maturing into a woman.... Hey just think, your developing a lot faster than all those other girls, your turning into a woman when there still little girls... That's one way to look at it!

I think that maybe some of the people that are making fun of you is because they themselves were made fun of. I know of alot of girls that started before the age of 16. It is just a natural part of your way to becoming a young woman!

Sure... some people start as earlier as 8 or as late as 19/20... everyone is different. I was 11 if it makes you feel better!!
Ignore their small minded comments... it says more about their immaturity than it does about you!
