I'm a black women myself and I believe its harder for us to get jobs because of the past and because of our names., Ex. Bonquisha or Becky who'd u choose. Bonquisha has 2 master's and Becky is just finishing out her Associates. But because of her name and its harder to say Bonquisha and Becky, Becky will get the job. At my school we have sent resumes where we put A WHITE name and a BLACK name they with all the same information. But Laquisha never got a call but Sue Ann did. HMMMMM I wonder why.

Anyone who says black women don’t have it harder is very naive. I think that women in general have it harder than men. Just competing with men in the workforce, women are hired less, are paid less, and are promoted less. Add race to that equation and you are facing a tougher battle. Black women have to work harder just to prove themselves worthy. I personally am a person who doesn't take no for an answer. If someone tells me I can't do something I have to prove them wrong. I have the mentality of "If I can't get hired, I'll just start my own company." I have always had a competitive spirit and I know that is what drives me.
Secondly, Black women also have to be nicer than other women. As a black woman I can’t just have a bad day and be in a bad mood. Then it’s like, “Oh another angry black chick?” I have to be extra nice because people automatically have an expectation for me to be a b*tch just because of my race and therefore they are intimidated for no reason.
So yes, I do feel that black women have it harder than white women and especially white men. I know that I have to work harder than other people just to be seen as equal, but that is okay with me because it will make me a better and stronger person in the end.

I have seen white people get hired before black people. I think every segment has social issues. So if it is any harder than the rest of us I doubt it. I think we all have issues we must faces. I am sure color dues add some problems but we still travel in the same boat of problems.

I believe that they do have a more difficult life...
Between the harnish of their society, and a constant struggle to get out of poverty they have it hard. Black Women have a constant struggle between living in poverty and working towards a goal of bettering themselves and their communities, while killing, drugs, and a history of unwed births are thrown at them from their birth.
