If the child of that mother lets them do so, it is very possible. The couple need to make a united front to deal with interference from a troublesome mother in law. And if all else fails, move away!

yes I think it is my mother in law is trying hard. We have been feuding over the holidays since the first week of November. My mother in law thinks she can have all the time she wants for the holidays. We are trying toexplain to her that she needs to play fair and share but it is not going over to well so she is driving me to tell her off. I don't want to have to do it becuase it will hurt my husband but I am so sick of feudung over this it is ruining the holidays and making everyone stressed out

Yes, My husband and myself have been through a lot together things that would end most relationships and weathered things really well.We never once in several years together ever even contemplated the thought of breaking up.Myself in particular I live and breath this man.But after several years of his mothers meddling I had enough and wanted to end our marriage just to get rid of her.A bad in law can ruin even the strongest relationships. If you have a bad mother in law get rid of her before she ends your relationship.

The idea that the average mother-in-law often considers her son-in-law to be unsuitable for her daughter (or daughter-in-law unsuitable for her son), go back to Roman times: the roman writer Juvenal says that you can't be happy while the mother-in-law is still alive. Usually it states that mothers-in-law are generally overbearing, obnoxious, or unattractive.
So do not be surprise problem with mothers in law are as old as human history.
