how many episodes of Benny Hill can we take? not to mention --What Not to Wear; Who's Line is it Anyway? BBC offers so much more intelligent programming than it offers on BBC America. Do they think we can't cope with more stimulating material?

It sucks because BBC in Britain sucks. The BBC spread themselves around too thinly nowadays and try and compete with scores of commercial stations. Hence these stupid makeover programmes and the like. This is a mistake. In my opinion they should have just one BBC TV channel - which shows nothing but quality programmes, not the hours of dross they broadcast on 4 channels now.

I'm just glad I chose to record so many of the programs BBC America used to air back in the 1990s and in early 2000. Each was quality, and there was so much from which to choose. Top Gear seems to be the main draw nowadays with Dr. Who running a strong second, and they air endlessly throughout the day and night with no other choices. Anyway, for whatever the reason for the downgrading in programming, I deeply regret it and wish the powers that be would take a look back, see where they've come from, and change directions. Sad.

BBC America got me hooked on Father Ted and The League Of Gentlemen. I've had to buy all the DVDs just to get my "fix" since I don't have The Beeb anymore.

I quite like that Sanjeev (spelling?) show -- I think that's right, the Indian interviewer with his mother, father, and grandmother sitting nearby. The Royle Family were good too. And Blackadder. And Not the 9 O'clock News. And Are You Being Served. And Ground Force. And Changing Rooms... gawd I miss my Beeb!

Benny Hill! In the UK they have not shown him since the 80s. Not politically correct.

Do you get Doctor Who - the best BBC show ever?

Programmers take their orders from the bean counters who make their programming decisions based on marketing surveys.

We are being subjected to programming dictated by demographics indicating what product sells best.
