I swear by MAC Fluidline liquid/gel eyeliners. They are the best! Put on right, they don't run, smudge, and they look fantastic! They are best applied with the MAC 266 brush. I always consider good looks to be somewhat of an investment ;)
The people at the MAC counters/stores are very helpful also, they can apply it for you and tell you more information.

i like liquid liner.. so far the best ones i've used were Bourjois and Christian Dior...but they are $$! so right now i'm using a gel pot w/ a small eyeliner brush.... i think it's drying out tho, but i like that it is Dark Green. currently i also use a pencil liner from l'oreal or something.. it's ok. u can't beat liquid liner!!!
i stick as close to the lash line as possible... tilt head back, look Down into the mirror, apply liner at inner corner, then when u get 3/4 of the way, instead of following the eye downwards, go Straight out and then Curve up slightly... when u look at ur face naturally, ur eyes should look Bigger :)

I use a liquid pen from covergirl. I prefer the look of a liquid and it is a cinch to put it on in the pen form. I also like the bare escentuals pwder liner in coffee bean. I apply it wet with a brush and you get the intensity of a liquid with but the staying power is incredible. It doesn't run or fade and stays put for 16 hours or longer.

Rimmel is really good. I like it in JetBlack because I use black eyeliner, but the opther colors look good too because some of friends use them. It jsut depends on what color you want. BUt I like Rimmel because it goes on smooth and dark, stays put, is easy to sharpen, and lasts a long time! It really is the ebst I ahve ever used and I like it a lot better than liquid because if you screw up its a lot easier to fix!

I love using a black pencil eyeliner b/c it makes my eyes look wider.

I love Mary Kay pencil (bronze) eyeliner. It doesn't smear and stays put. The color is really pretty.
