Elizabeth Proctor is a fine lady that tries to keep her husband from being mislead into the wrong hands of Abby. But she says so many mean things to him in Act 3 or 4 about how he is irresponsible.

Go to the libary and get the movie. If you did read the book, the movie will clarify everything for you! Excellent book and movie. Good luck!
