Definitely go with 7600GT. The 7600GT is performing at 93FPS versus the ATi 1650 Pro running at only 60FPS. And this is in Half-Life 2 Episode One stats. The benchmarks are in sources, including the selected cards in blue. That is a 30FPS increase in a very small price difference. Not only is NVidia supporting better drivers, its outperforming that ATi 1650 Pro card easily and efficiently in some of the newest games.

the NV 7600GT is somewhat better than the ATI 1650 Pro. to have the same performance as the 7600GT you need the X1650XT.
here is a test report

Im not sure on the specs for these, but i do hold the opinion that nvidia makes better cards. I once bought an expensive ati card to replace my older nvidia card, and i returned it to the store in one week and put my nvidia back in.

Tom's Hardware has an awesome video card comparison chart -- check it out:

Personally -- always go w/ nVidia - I hate the Catalyst drivers. But Im not sure off the top of my head which is better -- the website will show you though
