I want a fairly inexpensive one. 100 dollars and under, and that is compatible with my toshiba laptop, that will hold around 500 songs,..I have limewire as my mp3 download site so I would definitely want to transfer my songs off limewire onto my mp3 player. So which would be the best to go with?? Don't know very much about mp3 players so any help would be much appreciated!!!

Best is going to be subjective, but there are very good reviews for the Sansa brand mp3 players (cheaper than ipods, but very similar in functionality -- plus it does things that ipods don't like having an FM tuner.) To hold 500 songs, you'll need a 2GB player.

Knowing more about what features you'd like would be helpful, but I wouldn't feel out of line recommending this one:

It's slightly over $100, but I don't think you'd be disappointed. Best of luck.
