im interested in opening a cell phone business.. what are the first steps that i need to take? i;ve never had my own business before and i know nothing about opening up a business.. please help! i'd also like to sell perfumes, jewelry, and other accessories there.. please advise. thank you!

The best routes to take are to research the process of starting a business as well as the industry you're interested in.
I recommend checking out the SBA, Entrepreneur, The Start Up Journal & Nolo. All 4 are great informational resources for the new/small business owner. I posted links for you in the source box.

cant help you with cell phones never sold them. I had my own dj company and my own tractor trailor as well as doing marketing. it sounds like to me your best bet is to start with a table at a flee market and sell perfumes, jewelry and so on. there is a good supplyer out there know as SMC service merchandise com look them up I have a vending acct with them and its great for someone who is just starting out. just need to go to your local county office and get a vending lic. usaul around 15 dollars a table at the market cost me 8 aday well worth it just starting out.
