My dad had a teacher once tell him to wipe the smirk off his face.
He did about 8 differant faces and said "pick on you like."
He got detention for a week.
This was back in the 50's as well....lucky he didn't get a ruler!

I like it there, and not much removes my smirk. Blatant racism, and seeing someone else cry, wipes it away in a flash.

A good dose of perspective brought to me courtesy of my own overly analytic nature. (Or occasionally by a friend... and that reflection is just downright painful). I don't like my smirk... it's an outer reflection of inner uglies.
