How long can a used wash. machine be left unhooked from water before drying out seals and becoming leaky?

The connections and the hoses should be replaced,
those are possibly too long unhooked at 6 years. The whole
general seal is usually clear for up to 10 years.

It may begin to smell a little as there is always a little water left in the tub. Other than that you should be able to leave it unhooked indefinitely.

I would say close to five years
