Hmm, never thought about it before...
I think I'd have to agree with lol22, it's a beautiful song that celebrates being happy because of simple things. (By the way, the song is called "Happiness" and it's from the musical "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown", music and lyrics by Clark Gesner.)
I love the story behind it too. Charles Schulz drew a comic with Snoopy sleeping on Charlie Brown's lap. Charlie Brown says: "Happiness is a warm puppy". After that strip, school children started sending Schulz homemade books that said "Happiness is..." and then saying/drawing what happiness was to them. And that's how it all started. Now, whenever you see something with "Happiness is..." in it, it's based on that single comic strip.
Also, because I'm a stickler for this sort of thing and a Broadway fanatic: The song Velma picked, "Happy Talk" is from the musical South Pacific, by Rogers and Hammerstein, and Suednim's song "Put on a Happy Face" is from the musical "Bye, Bye Birdie", music by Charles Strouse, and lyrics by Lee Adams. It was originally sung by Dick Van Dyke (who is amazing!). Both are great songs!

A British University studied this question and said that "Wake Up Boo!" by The Boo Radleys was the most happy, positive song in their survey.
Madonna's "Holiday" was also high up on the list.

It has to be Always Look On The Bright Side by Eric Idle from Monty Python - it is just the most cheerful, funniest, happiest song ever - every time I listen to it I smile - no I end up really really laughing - it's BRIILIANT - actually you can't see me now but I'm grinning just thinking of it :) :) :)

I don't know but if you want a song to cheer you up when you are feeling a little low try listening to: bright side of life performed by the cast of monty python from the film monty pythons life of brian.
trust me if you have not heard the song you should it is a great song.
