Money and only money. Too much invested in the Bowl System by too many rich men with too much influence. It is retarded but until people stop paying to see this end to another outstanding season, it will continue to happen. They need to know they'll make more money with a playoff. Once they prove that, we'll see how quickly "tradition" goes out the window.

It's all about the Benjamins! $15,000,000 per team in the BCS bowls adds up! Granted, I feel that a playoff could generate similar dollars if administered properly, but I digress......
