Reading these answers I see that many think it is ok to have US forces attacked and do nothing about it. I see that people are not educated and are not famaliar with economic theory and therefore are not qualified to speak about economic topics. I see a new US hand out class that will ruin this nation, which is A OK case by the time it's a third world country I will be dead.
Bush saved the USA and if not for ad infinitum and name calling the Democrats would not have there congressal led right now. But not to worry 2 years is long enough to make us remember how they are and everything will go way republican in 2008.

He's not popular among the majority of Americans. He received just over 50% of the vote in 2004. In real terms, because of the way our Electoral College works, he really only won by 60 thousand votes. That margin made the difference in Ohio which in turn gave Bush the number of electoral college points he needed. If Kerry had won Ohio then he would have been president.

Bush's popularity among Americans is certainly debatable. He has many followers for the plain fact that he is our President. Many people still hold great respect for the person in that office and think (although often naively) that he will do what is best for our country...

He's popular because he's up front with people. He tells them the truth. He does what he says he's going to do. He is a man of faith and compassion. He loves freedom, but also loves God. He's decent, hard working, intelligent, and in good physical shape. He's handsome and a Texan. He's not intimidated and demands respect. Too bad the general population here is full of soft commie hippies or foreigners and no longer know what it is to be an American!

He used to be after 9/11 but not anymore. His approval rating's in the low 30s and occasionally dipping into the 20s. That puts him close to Nixon territory in terms of unpopularity.

Well, I dont think he is, at least I dont know anyone who likes him. I think the flag wavers really like him because they want the US to be back in the 1940s when there were "morals" I don't know, I think alcohol/drug use was rampant back then, spouse/child abuse, incest and all the same problems that we have today, the only difference is they didnt talk about it back then. Its not a matter of popularity, but a matter of having a strong President who stands up for the good of America, and wont back down to the whiners who dont have a clue...

He isn't. Where did you get that idea? Only about 1/3 of Americans approve of his governing.

he isn't.. that's why so many Americans voted against the Republican party in this last election.. if Bush was running for President right now, he would lose big time..
