sorry to bother you all.

My dads messed up his computer, I've been round here all night trying to sort it out.
I've found his old win 98 disk but have lost the code.
he wants win 98 on, because thats wat he is use to.
Can anyone please give me a reg key plse, pref from someone who no longer uses win 98.

I can't give you a registration key, however are you sure the code is not on the case of the computer somewhere? if the computer was an oem version then the number should be on a sticker on the case.
failing that email microsoft and ask them for a key. tell them the story and if you or your dad registered the software with microsoft originally then they may give you a new key or sell you one.
but your dad really should upgrade to XP and preferably vista they are a lot easier to use than 98.
besides which microsoft has officially stoped releasing updates and patches for the program. and antivirus engines are i've heard not going to continue support for much longer.

Giving you a key is not a good idea.

If you have notwiped the PC and still have 98 on it.

google and downlad keyfinder, this will show you the key youare already using'
Write it down and use that.

To publicly give you a key for all to see would be rather wreckless...let alone illegal.

(hint : just do a search on yahoo for "Win98 CD key" .... I have a feeling you'll get all the keys you need)

well if he lost his, best idea is to contact microsoft and they will give u a new 1
