I have read red wine vinegar and garlic help clean plaque. I have also read light excesses helps too. In your case I wouldn't stop any drugs I am taking now, just add a tablespoon of vinegar to a vegetable during a meal and take a garlic capsule. I am sure your doctor has recommended the exercise program for you already. By your questions today you must be having a bad day. Need a friend?

They say garlic and oatmeal are good. Of course you wouldn't eat them together! And over time, they would be consumed, say like every day for a month or two. Also fruits and veggetables. Use olive oil instead of a lot of butter. Exercise helps too. It sounds like your body is reacting to something if you have tumors on your thyroid. Maybe you could also request that your doctor do a test that would indicate what you're allergic to.

Double check with your doctor regarding other options.

Eat vegetables as much as possible - stay away from animals. Lipids are not bad; animal lipids are. The oils in plants can actually lower cholesterol. Stay away from processed or refined foods, too. And exercise!

i suggest you look for a naturopath in your area they can treat you with IV therapy cocktail of Vitamins that will help cleanse the fats out of your blood stream, the process is called CHELATION and it really boosts energy

Also you can buy an all natural product from a health food store or naturopath called ORALPLAX (lecithin) its a gel like substance that is used to dissolve fat in the blood and its then processed through your kidneys and Urinated out.

with diet and exercise and increasing your fiber intake you can lower your cholesterol dramatically

I did not have your complications, but I lowered mine with exercise three times a week (not killing myself, just 45 minutes) and eating salmon, tilapia, nuts in my salad and two eggs a week (or none at all). Try that, it might help for you as well.
I really hope that you feel better.

If you go on a fat-free diet you will lower your cholesterol level FAST. If you are unwilling to go fat-free, try a diet devoid of partially hydrogenated vegetable oils. That means no deep fat fried foods like fried chicken, no French fried potatoes, no regular margarines, etc. Try it by determining your cholesterol level by using a home test kit. Go on the fat-free diet for 2 weeks then re-test your cholesterol level. You'll be surprised.

avoid dairy products for sure and red meats. Thyroid can throw off your chol. it happening to me now as we speak! It is a hormone of the gland. I have hypo type. I am on lipator. But I also take flax seed oil on my salad, take garlic oil pills , and eat cheerios. Doc says it will take time! about 3 months and i should be losing the weight too!

My doctor said Fish (not fried), chicken, turkey, pork, and venison. All the vegies and fruit I wanted to eat. A bit of alcohol is OK. Oatmeal is good. Avoid dairy products.

Not sure how that would react with your thyroid though. Perhaps you can consult with a nutritionist.

The other suggestions are very good. Also try essential oils such as primose, cod liver, and flax seed oils. They all help the cardiovascular system and especially cholesterol. Good luck.
