I mean, they can't leave it hangin with Naraku still alive and Kagome and Inuyasha JUST sayin they loved each other!!! OMG!!

If you haven't seen the ending on TV, They never really made an announcement on Adult Swim about the remaining episodes. Sad to say that the rest of the episodes only were a week and a half long. It was aired the last 2 weeks in October 2006 (Final Episode aired on 10/27/06).
It's currently on repeat, so you still have a chance to see how it ends before they repeat the whole series from episode 1 (Jan 1st 2007).
As you may know, there are 4 movies, but it has no relevance to the anime at all...you can say they're side stories, but still good to watch.
As far as I know, the series ended because it finally caught up with the manga. And since there wasn't any new material to cover, that led to it's abrupt end. As I said before...if you haven't finished the series, continue to watch Adult Swim, then read the manga!
Though it's still published in Japan, you can go to this link to find out what happens in the series. It's not really a scanlation of the manga, just a pure translation.

No, the animated series ended with episodes 166 and 167. I havnt heard any news about new ones so I don't think we should get our hopes up. (as sad as that is...)
However, the Manga does continue, and there are 4 Inuyasha movies. If that's not enough, I'm sure you could find some fanfiction or fancomics around the internet.

Nope, the last episode is 167.
However, if you haven't watch any inuyasha movies, there are about 3 inuyasha movies waiting for you.

I'm sorry but the series has come to an end but you can read the comic if you want to find out whats going to happen next. The comic itself isn't even finished
