1 mole of Ca into the reaction yealds 1 mole of H2 out

Ca = 40 g/mole
.5 g Ca = .5/40 = 0.125 moles
H2 = 2 g/mole
.125 mole H2 = .125 * 2 = .25 grams.

(0.5 g / MW Ca) * MW H * (2/2) = Hydrogen gas in grams
