There are no hard-set rules, but for an entry-level job, you could expect to be paid at least $7.00/hr. For much less than that it might not be worth your time (also depending on where you live). I worked at a Bank of America call center while going to college and made about $10.00/hr (it went up to $12.00/hr right before I left). But it really depends on the nature of the job. Just make sure that your job doesn't interfere too much with your education. You need to work to go to college, not the other way around. Take advantage of your education and take out loans if you have to (trust me, I learned it the hard way). Good luck!

Minimum wage only applies to full time workers, so it depends on the employer what you make per hour in accordance with you work skills.

+ I pay $100 per day cash when I have work. Mostly manual labor or using hand tools. I think that is pretty close to what you could get in the major US cities.
