The original lead singer was Dave Evans. When he didn't show up for a gig, their driver (bon scott) got his shot.
Would be nice if people knew their facts before answering these questions erroneously.
Had to edit my response after seeing someone state Bon Scott committed suicide. He actually passed out from drinking and drowned in is own vomit. You can do a search on Bon Scott and read about it on Yahoo!

I listen to AC DC the original singer for AC/DC was Scott Bonn
he was a screamer in the songs, Bonn passed away on February 19,1980 from suicide. At least Bonn is one of the lead singers.
