For the past week I have noticed an increasing number of small mite like flies in my kitchen. I have chucked out all my rubbish, sanitised all my work surfaces and bleached the sink but they're still there! Can see no source but notice they see to like the sink. How can I get rid of them?

Try using a fly spray or hang up those yellow fly catchers. If that fails buy a Venus Fly Trap (plant), they love flies!!

They could be fruit flies. Bleach the sink really well.

Put some red wine in the bottom a tall glass. Put a funnel into the glass so that the end doesn't reach the wine. They will be attracted to the wine but unable to get back out of the funnel and they will drown in the wine. Replace the wine with new wine every day.

actual, I believe holding issues as sparkling as a possibility! I used to paintings on the Drosophila (fruit fly) lab that made nutrition specifically for the flies, at an section college and the following is how we did it: resources: a field a funnel or paper wrapped right into a funnel structure protecting tape something yummy for the flies positioned some nutrition into the field (we used 0.5 pint bottles, yet you may want to apply very nearly something with something that is taller than that is wide. Very ripe bananas are reliable (we used the fly nutrition that we produced for the labs) or yeast, molasses... The yeast and molasses have a more advantageous smell than banana, yet you may try. position the funnel or paper funnel into the hollow, and tape all of it round. What takes position is that the flies are attracted with the aid of the scent and have self belief me, they locate it. they haven't any challenge transferring into the bottle yet they could't get out! (hotel California for fruit flies) once you've collected them (it would want to take in one day or longer) fill the field with soapy water and allow it sit down till you be conscious that they don't seem transferring. in accordance with what you used for nutrition and how a lot you install there, you may want to flush it down the rest room, we positioned it down kitchen drain and used garbage disposal.

Spray a bit of Fly Spray in the kitchen near the sink and then go out and close the doors for a while . When you come in again they should be all dead.

you need to use an miticide like Tedion V18 which has miticidal property as well as is safe.It has an larvicidal property which will kill the larvae of mites by deep penetration.Or perhaps it may not be a mites-It may be Termite- if it's a termite you must use a termicide like Linden or Aldrex (Aldrin a shell products).Linden and Tedion are safer for home use.

putting a vase of lavender by your open window will keep the flies at bay as they don't like it but if yours are in the sink it might not work, worth a try anyway

Try vinegar in a cup! I know it sound s a bit silly but we've had them at work and they love it! You should be fly free in a couple of hours.
