It's not the people "hate" Florida - we hate the way the rankings were finally played out. It's just a screwed up system. As a Michigan fan, I'm thrilled the Wolverines will be playing in the Rose Bowl. The Rose Bowl is full of good ol' college football game traditions (not to mention they throw a darn good parade). Anyway, good luck to the Gators when you take on OSU. We'll be cheering for you back here in Ann Arbor...

Florida is by far better than Michigan and i am tired of hearing about how Michigan deserves another chance. Florida won their conference Michigan came in second. If Michigan had played in a conference championship like the Gators did well then they would have a gripe if they would have beat OSU for the title but that did not happen. 12-1 is better than 11-1 any math teacher would tell you that. The SEC is by far the toughest conference in the nation with 7 or 8 teams going to bowls. I see Florida winning the NC and finally shutting up all of the whining that is going on. The BCS (although not perfect) is set up to match up the best two teams in the country, and I think that this is what has occurred. If the Big Ten thinks they were treated unfairly then set up a conference championship game like most of the rest of the country it is the only way to determine a true conference champion. With that said I say go GATORS!!!!! GO VOLS!!!!! GO SEC!!!!

I don't get it.

Florida is 12-1 with the toughest schedule
Michigan is 12-1 with the third toughest schedule

I agree that it was close and very unfortunate for Michigan, but that does not make Florida undeserving. It is amazing that Florida has done what they have, and people think that they are a mediocre football team(as has been posted on this site several times).

A playoff system would solve all of the problems, but for now, that should not take away from the season that both Michigan and Florida had.

Florida deserves to go. They won their conferance and lost only one time. Michigan had they're chance. They do however, need to play outside their conference and outside their home. They keep playing Div II teams and they will not get that many votes next time.

USC is playing Ohio State in 2008 & 2009.
Florida State is playing Colorado in 2008 & 2009
UCLA has Notre Dame next year.

The SEC needs to stop playing automatic W's. Show some balls and go play an away game against a Big Ten, Pac 10 or Big 12. They get in this time be DEFAULT. Plain and simple. Wisconsin in my mind had a tougher schedule. SEC is an OK conf.

Get hold of a copy of the first and sadly now only O.S.U against Michigan game from earlier in the season. All the answers you want are contained in those four quarters of play. Oh and Urban Meyer doesn't help Floridas cause either. He is depicted as a moaner by the media.

The loss to Auburn came after a very questionable call.
#1 in the SEC is nothing to laugh at.
And they have 2 good quarterbacks, might as well use them both, one can throw the ball the other knows how to run it.
GO Leak, GO Tebow
GO Gators!

I'm glad they are going. I wouldn't want to watch a Big Ten Conference game. It's the National Championship. Florida is playing for the national title. That's a FACT. As the media said: "Michigan BLUE it."
