previous balance means you should look at your previous statements.
Most credit cards, you can go online and see several months of activity. Or they can mail you a new copy of old statements if you can't get online to see them.
Pay at least the minimum balance in the meantime, even if you don't believe the debt is valid. At least then, your payment history is protected while you resolve it. And they will repay you if the debt is in error.

you should always keep you receipts and compare them with credit cards bal.. check online,,, they will have there. call the company
