Were violent video games developed so that we wouldn't become a nation of pacifists?

No, they were developped to appeal to people's lust for violence to strip their money from them.

Isn't pacifism just another way of saying rolling over? so....when did we have our last revolution? when did we impeach our last president? when was the last time any of us stood up for something we believe in?

I don't think the video games make us non pacifists. They seem to have dulled our senses. When we see people beaten or shot on "Cops", or the news, no one seems to care. It's not like any of us are going to get up off the couch and change the judicial system.
