It was popping up on yahoo all the time so I downloaded it and there are too many search engine spaces taking up the screen. I would like my old one back.

Click "Add or Remove Programs."
Check "Show Updates" at the top of the dialog box.

Press F12 to get rid of all the search engines and toolbars. You can disable IE on the add/remove programs under windows components. Maybe you should try firefox its better than IE anyhow. And yea, you could download the old version just look for IE6 on google and you will find a link to download it.

Wouldn't it just be easier to go under the Toolbar settings and turn off the search bars that you do not want to display?

Short answer....no.

Long answer....reformat your harddrive and reinstall windows.

Better answer....those toolbars are removeable. You don't need to use the older version of Internet Explorer to get rid of them. Try right clicking on them to get the menu to remove them.

OR
