It doesnt feel any different.
It just proves its two sides to the same coin, and the parties are actualy not much different - while their extreme beliefs are different, the day to day operations for americans look the exact same.

Yes so far without even taking offices as yet they have created more change in this administration than the past six years, they have forced a more realistic view on the iraq policy and are doing exactly what the majority of the american people that put them into offices in the House ect. want done.

ditto hichefheidi's comments. couldn't said it better, but it won't stop me from trying.
In a two party system, one has to make the other the fall-guy...they have to be able to play the good cop-bad cop routine. Haven't you watched the movies? In movies, as I find in life, you have to set up a good-cop, bad cop routine...to explain to the radicals on both sides why the center is the sane way to go.
Otherwise it's lopsided. The party in power has no one to blame but themselves, so they avoid anything decisive they would have to answer for later.

I feel that we will have a congress that is friendlier to our environment than we have had with republicans in power. Our earth is in serious trouble from being plundered by big business for profits without addressing the damage they do. It is the responsibility of this generation to try to save the environment for future generations. This issue cannot be ignored.

I hardly call a republican president with veto power and a less than 2/3 of the senate, and less than 3/4 of the house, control. I do however feel better REPRESENTED having restored BALANCE to government. But I was never big on a one party system, myself. Apparently neither was the majority of america.

Yes, I'm so happy that all of the terrorists all over the world are going to lay down their arms and declare peace and good will to all human beings all over the world.
Do you think the President of Iran and North Korea will accept an invitation to dinner at my house so that we can toast the new world that the democrats have built for us.

Well they arent exactly in control yet, and security really isnt an issue unless they win the presidency, but with that said, I really think the Democrats winning was good for our country, because once we see their policies, we are going to have a REPUBLICAN SWEEP IN 2008!!!!!!!! John McCain for President, and we are going to take back congress baby!!!

I'm just happy the republican stranglehold on this country is broken. Get your chuckles in now. Our President is killing your party's chances in the next election. Peace

The democrat plan is to get the troops out today. That is according to what at least 42% of the American public voted for. Never mind that it would destabilize the middle east, disrupt the supply of oil, sky rocket the price of gas exponentially, cause economic disaster across the globe and provide a safe haven for terrorist to launch attacks against us. The American public is so wise aren't they?
