December 24th traditionally. But since every year the marketing execs want you to pull it, and your wallet out even earlier, I have pre-empted them by putting up my Christmas 2007 tree and decorations already.

Anytime after Thanksgiving- my family finds it a little annoying to see extensive Christmas decorations before Turkey Day. If you live somewhere that gets really cold, something I know a few people do is put up stuff like the lights, and just don't turn them on until after Thanksgiving. After Thanksgiving, put up the big things (if you have some) like the blow-up snowmen, santa claus statues, etc.

Some people have thanksgiving dinner then pull out the decorations so the whole family can partake in decorating the tree, and some pull out the tree the day after thanksgiving so it's up too but do it soon so you can enjoy your decorations and take everything down the day after New Years...............Happy Holidays!!!

I don't believe there is a correct day to put up a Christmas tree...it depends on the person...if you have already begun wrapping presents thaen you should have your tree up...the majority of people I know put their tree up the days following Thanksgiving...
