go out and buy some saline soulution in the contact section. If you get a generic brand it should only cost between 3 and 5 dollars. It helps to rinse out your eye and it won't irratate it at all.

A trip to the eye doctor will be much less expensive now than if you wait until you have problems. You might be eligible for medicaid. See a doctor that accepts medicaid and then apply. Medicaid will pay bills up to 3 months prior to your application. Also, you may still be covered under your parents insurance. Call them and find out. All colleges at least have a nurse - go see that person. It is usually free.

Use warm water on a wash cloth and press lightly. The white part of your eye was scratched; there isn't anything "in there" to wash out. Fortunately the eye heals very rapidly and this should take care of itself in an hour or so.
If it gets worse, stop in to see a school nurse or pharmacist, they can offer inexpensive (aka no charge ) advice.

You could get all kinds of crazy infections! Go to a clinic or the emergency room, they usually will work with you. You really need to do something about your injury. Some walk-in clinics have a sliding fee scale, you may even be able to get advice over the phone.
I hope you're ok :(

Poor student or not, let someone (school nurse?) look at it. there might be infection and you ought to have an antibiotic (from the doctor) put on it. This should be within 8 hours of the scratch.

The most common problem with corneal abrasion is the strong possibility of infection. you should be seen. your college most likely has a student health office, if not, any ER will see you and arrange for either payments or help you file for assistance to pay the bill.
If the ER receives medicare payments they must see anyone who comes in.

In the eye section at a grocery or drug store they have generic Eye drops that are sterile, I just paid 1.99 for a bottle. Keep it rinsed well.
Should it start to be inflamed, you really should try to see a Dr.
