Because they can!
Girls can't really measure their vaginas, it'd be really difficult if not painful. Plus ... it doesn't really matter because the vagina is an extremely elastic organ, and can expand. So vaginas are all pretty similar, opposed to penises.
... and for example, breasts can be measured. Women (and men) have become obsessed with breast size as well as penis size.

Good question. I wouldn't even know how to measure myself, and how would I go about it when the vagina can increase and decrease in size?
I know I'm smaller than average because doctors and nurses have commented while giving me internal examinations (they like it, don't have to reach so far back). But I have no idea on the actual size and don't know how to find out. Also, I have no idea on what size guys would consider ideal for lovemaking, so even if I knew, it wouldn't mean anything.
I can live without knowing ... maybe guys could do the same?

lol lol thats what ive been trying to tell all the men and women on here. its not just mens sizes that come in small it could just be a woman that has a larger vagina.all men and womens tools come in diffrent sizes small medium and large. it shouldnt matter the mans size or girls size you just got to find one thats a perfect fit for you. i have a small vagina i enjoy sex with a small penise very much but i prefer a medium because for me its perfect fit medium for me. meaning i like 6 inchers. and just like a guy if he was a medium then he wouldnt want a large vagina. and if there was an actual way to measure a vagina lol id measure mine. if you come up with some thing email me and let me know

Because it matters to men. Ask any man what he's more concerned with, the daily politics or the length of his 'chap' most men will say their chap.
An easy answer for the other question. Vaginas aren't a potruding organ, in other words they don't stick out, so it's not much of a bother for women to measure them
