My brother likes put both his hands on his hips when he is talking to people. Does it look gay? Do men do that? He puts his by his knees in a crossed position when he is sitting. Does that look gay? Or is he feminine? He is straight & has a girl friend. In some of his pictures he's having one hand in his hipps. When we get together for holidays I don't want people thinking he is gay. He also had his ears pierced when he was in high school. I care about my brother that's why I am asking this question. Thank you.

Thats silly. He's not gay just for having his hands on his hips or crossing his legs. As for the ear piercing thats just a thing that some men do to make other men think they are cool.

i will put it to you like this. Men have lost sight of the proper way of being a gentlemen. the older gantlemen can tell that the hands on the hips, crossing of the legs when sitting, holding of cane, wearing a pocket watch and the suspenders are part of that ettique. Not alot of people do the whole gentlemen demeanor, but at least it still being done one way or the other. be proud of your brother for displaying gentlemen characteristics.

And even if, would you not easily accept him if he were gay?

If he's gay, he's gay. Nothing you can do but love and support him unless you're prejudiced. If people think he's gay and he is and they don't mind, that's good. If they mind, they can take a hike. If he ain't gay, it's his job, not yours, to clear things up.

It is called "arms akimbo." Superman does it all the time. So do coaches, etc. Now, if he put his hands on his "privates" that would look queer.
