Nah, unlikely anything really serious. Even after several years, periods may skip, or miss. At three months skipped, it is time to make an appointment and visit the doc.

As a teen I always had irregular periods. I would have one, skip 3 month, have another for 2 month, skip a month, etc. Just like you no eating disorder, virgin, non athlete. I think some women;s bodies just operate differently. Once I became sexually active as an adult I got on the pill and that regulated my period. I would suggest telling your mom your worried and suggest seeing a gynocologist. He might put you on the pill to regulate but that's not a liscense to go out and start sleeping around!

So, your not pregnant, and probably not over stressed. Those are the two most frequent causes of missed periods. It is not unusual for a teenager to have irregular periods so I wouldn't worry about it too much. You should be having a physical exam every year, so mention it to your doctor at the next one. And if you haven't done so already, tell your mother. She may want you to see a doctor sooner. You can look on www.webmd.com for more possible causes of missed periods.

The same thing happen to me. started to get my period then it stopped for a few months. I was a virgin and was concern why I wasn't getting my period since I wasn't sexually active. The doctor told me that if I didn't produce an egg that month then I wouldn't get my period. As simple as that.

It is most likely your hormones. Talk to your Mom and schedule an appointment with the Dr. My daughters periods were very irregular. She started when she was thirteen too...sometimes her periods would last 10-12 days and then sometimes she did not have them at all.

anything is possible. to be safe, you'd better go see a gyno. my periods are very irregular. there is NO pattern to them at all. i am told that this is caused by PCOS (poly-cystic ovarian syndrome). talk to your doc first. no need to panic.

You should see a doctor, but I don't think it's anything to worry about especially if you're young and active.
