Shouldn't the Nintendo DS Lite already come with everything you need? Do you really need this starter kit that costs $15 additional dollars? Also, are the Nintendo DS games interchangeable for use with the Nintendo DS Lite?

Thanks!

I agree the starter kit should come included but since it doesn't, it's probably a good idea to get it because it includes extras, like a car charger, case and extra styluses that will be useful - especially if you have kids using it.

I would get the starter kit:
1. it comes with case which you will wish you wouldve bought after your kid drops it on the concrete and it breaks...
2. it comes with extra stylus's and kids will deffinitely need extras because kids will lose them sometime or another and there will be lots of whining and asking you where is my stylus!!!
3. It comes with headphones, car charger and screen protectors which you will be glad you have because if the sound gets too loud you can always tell them use your headphones! or if the battery goes out while in the car they aren't bored and asking you are we there yet 50 times. and you will be glad you got screen protectors because if they scratch the screen they will start saying mommy I cant see anything on my screen!

Just some ideas. And the ds games are the same thing as the ds lite games. In fact they are all called ds games. The ds lite is just a newer version of the original. It still has the same funtions as the orginal. So i think an extra 15 dollars will help make life easier on both you and your kids.

I agree they should come with the system. No you do not need it but it is nice to have a carry case for the system. the case can hold the ds and games too. The starter kit has two - three extra stylus, and case. they also have some kits with skins (pictures) for the ds covers. some starter kits also come with headphones. the ds and the ds lite are the same game. ds lite has a brighter screen and is more slim line than the orginal ds. you can also use sp games that are cheaper in the ds system. hope this helps! - happy holiday
