Birth control pills work by suppressing ovulation. If the Pill is not taken correctly, every day at the same time of the day, it is possible that ovulation can take place. Some medications, especially antibiotics, can interfere with the Pills ability to work properly. Also, if you become ill and have vomiting shortly after taking the Pill, it may not have enough time to get into your system and ovulation may occur. Even taken correctly with no other risk factors involved, the Pill is still not 100% effective, but has a high rate of success.

The pill prevents ovulation, yet once you permit out one or take it at a diverse time of day, then you definitely would desire to ovulate. No technique is thoroughly one hundred% prevention aside from no longer having intercourse.

First responder is correct. The pill releases a hormone that simulates pregnancy, and that stops ovulation.

Not unless you forget to take it, have a tummy upset or take it alongside a drug which interferes with its action (eg some antibiotics). In which case you might well ovulate.

Yes you do. If you didn't ovulate then your uterous wouldn't be libed with stuff and you wouldn't have your period when you are on the placebo pills. Birth Control stops the egg (if fertilized) from connecting to the wall of your uterous. So it just goes out with your period. Otherwise BC would be 100% effective because you can't get pregnant if you don't release an egg.
