I have installed the CD that came with the packages but it is still saying in iTunes that there is no iPod connected. I have also been through the 5 R's and still no luck. Help!!!

Don't use the CD. Go to Apple.com and DOWNLOAD the latest version of iTunes.
Also make sure you're plugged DIRECTLY into one of the computer's USB ports (not on an extension, or off a keyboard)

It's most likely your usb port is corrupted. Try plugging it into another usb port.
I think someone once told me if the usb port is of the 1.0 variety, it wont work. If this is the case, you will need to get a 2.0 usb adapter.
