Not only is he just as bad as every other dictator around, he was put into power by the US. He got money, arms, WMD's, more money, and still more money from the American government. He received tacit support all the way until he invaded Kuwait when he found out his neighbor was slant-drilling. In any case, the US has propped up infinitely worst dictators like Suharto, the Guatemalan juntas, the Shah of Iran, and so on.
So when should you apologize? Perhaps the question is, when should you pay back, in lives and money, everything you've taken from the Iraqis since 1979? And the same "good Christians" you think should apologize are the ones that committed all the crimes. There are no good Christians, son, there never have been, it's an impossibility, Christianity doesn't allow for kindness, it only pays lip-service, just like every other religion there is.
Oh, and the reason Iraq was invaded was, as usual, monetary and strategic. There is a f**k-load of money to made from Iraqi oil and controlling this oil will be the key to controlling... yes.... you guessed it... everyone. Doubt me? Then read all the policy papers the American government has written or followed for the past six years, it'll be quite revealing.

Somewhere there is a flicker of a neuron .. somewhere...
FYI there is not a dictatorship in Iraq.. remember the blue ink stained fingers.. The Iraqi people voted...
You give Saddam such a nice review , you really might want to research that a little further.... Here are some quotes from (believe it or not) The New York Times , definitely not a Republican supporter...

According to those that have been there and seen it themselves and talked to the Iraqi people (NOT the slanted, news MAKING media)...most all the killing and hostilities are being perpetrated by renagade, radical Iraqi groups against Iraqi's within about a 30 mile radius of Baghdad. Most of the rest of the country is enjoying a freedom and life that they haven't even dared dream of for decades! They don't want our apologies...they only desire that we accept their thanks!...Sorry...I'm certain that this isn't the "popular" answer...but it's the truth!

I would guess that we would start apologizing in about twenty to thirty years from now. During WWII, the US set up concentration camps for Japanese Americans who they believed were sending information back to their ethnic nation. They didn't apologize until the 1980's through 1990's. We are never in a hurry to admit we were wrong. I mean, we are the United States of America, right?

Apologize?? What are you on... I highly doubt the people of Iraq would want that murdering dictator back in the Country, and to have things back the way they were. In being there, we have only made it a better place for those people, and they know it.

You mean the way of life they had when they were gassed? Or slaughtered by their government? Or when they were forced by penalty of death to vote Saddam in each time?
We should apologize for the Iranian, Syrian and other foreign nationals that are currently killing them at a massive rate?
Nope. Never.

Saddam is no worse?? Um...Who today is allowed to gas mass amounts of people and stuff them all in a hole?
Um..."Good" Christians...I seem to remember a few "Christians" in history that killed many more people just for believing "differently". Don't worry, I don't think only Christians are to blame, there are other religions that killed for their "cause" too.
