I'm traveling to Minneapolis from California this Sunday for one week to take a training class and want some tips. I'm not used to cold weather. I love California weather. It was a little shocking to me when I checked the current temperatures in Minneapolis. I'll be staying at the Hampton Inn in Bloomington, MN. Please let me know if you suggest any good restaurants around there. What are some of the cool things to do there. Thanks.

You should probably check out the Mall of America. Get some great Christmas shopping done.

It may be freezing cold there, but the snow isn't supposed to hit again for a while. If you're in Bloomington, you're closest to the MOA which have many sit-down full service restaurants.

If you can, go downtown to Ruth's Chris or Brit's Pub. Brit's serves classic British food in a neat atmosphere. (Try the Scottish Eggs, and Bangers and Mash)

I don't know your budget, but ask the desk at the hotel. There are many upscale restaurants in Minneapolis, you just have to travel to downtown.
