I have used my laptop to take notes for so long, and recently when I went back to use a normal small notebook, I was horrified to see my writing was very slow and ugly.

So do you still use a notebook these days? Any tips to make it an enjoyable experience?

I learned shorthand in college so if you can be bothered then perhaps go on an evening course. You can make so much more detailed notes neatly and quickly.

If not, always use a notebook that is spiral bound at the top and only use one side. When the notebook is full - one side per page - start again from the back and use the other side.

That is about as inspired as notebook usage gets :)

i use a spiral bound reporters notebook and go all the way to the back of the book then turn the whole book over and write on the back of all the pages cos i found i was getting in a mix trying to write on both sides of the page, it was very hard to read back cos you have to keep turning the book over and around to follow what you have written
