I'm getting really frustrated with racial in-equality. i know this may sound on cloud nineish but i want to change the world!!i want us to change the world!!And i believe the only way to teach is by example. So if we want to get a bit of peace in this caotic society of ours, we've got to show peace?i suggest we come together to walk around the streets of our cities, our towns, and our villiages, hand in hand, with our hearts filled with love(call me a hippy, but i really mean it!!). so what say you? if there are enough of us we will be heard! much love!!!

Call me a pessimist, but I've never understood the point of marches. Not in these times anyway. I read about people in my city marching for peace, against violence. Against domestic abuse, etc.

I say - why aren't you marching in the middle of the night when the crimes are occurring? Instead of marching, why don't you spy on your neighbors and rat them out when you see them committing crimes? Etc. etc. etc.

I don't mean to quash your idea totally. Leading by example is good, but I just don't see the point of marching. It won't hurt anything, but what will you do for an encore?

That's the big question - what comes after that?

I agree. I have tried peaceful protesting before, i just hope more people have the nerve in the future. I do hope that when you say racial inequality, that means equality for all (including white people who have now begun to feel the sting of discrimination based on the color of their skin. White kids unable to attend the school just across the street because they are white. Job opportunities posted which say 'whites need not apply' and etc.)

We don't need peaceful protests, if you want to sort out the troubles in the east give the children playstations, coca cola, show them westerns and open up a disco, that'll sort them out,. Why hasn't someone thought of this before.

Sort of, 'Teach the world how to sing, and buy them a Coke?' It's "been done" in the 60's, but the rest of the world won't leave us alone. We keep minding our own business and they keep jumping on us.
