Hi all

l am not walking as much as i should due to time constraints and was thinking of getting an excercise bike instead. Are these safe to use while 21wks pregnant? And does it have the same health benefits as walking does?

Thank you!

It is said that the more you work out the better it is for you, the baby and the labor.... Just know your limits. If you get to tired, stop. Do not over do it when you are working out. There is nothing wrong with working out and being pregnant no matter what kind of work out you do. I give you credit for still going regardless of being pregnant. I know that can be hard and very tiring. Keep up the great work and do not stress about what kind of workout you are doing. Everything is good for you no matter what. Just remember, do not over do it! Congratulations of the pregnancy and good luck!

Cardiovascularly speaking, it is similar to the benefits of walking and absolutely safe. Just take it easy doing it.
I did that 30mins a day, 3X a week until about 38wks.
And I still do now that I'm 9wks preg with #2. I spend time on the treadmill and time on the bike.

It should be safe to use while pregnant. Just make sure you are comfortable on it and aren't over-doing it. Congratulations one your pregnancy :-)
