I think Mike Matheny and Gregg Zaun may have when they first came up. The last one I remember doing it full time was Rick Dempsey, who is Zaun's uncle by the way.

Well actually there are alot of catchers that are still wearing the old school masks. Like Mike Napoli of The Angels, and even Mike Piaza.

I know Mike Matheny of the Giants still wears a baseball cap with his mask but I think he uses the hockey mask instead of the traditional one.

Jason Kendall of the a's also wears the old school mask. not sure if he wears his actual hat under it, but he has that funny brimless batting helmet thing under the mask.
