Will the Bush camp slowly unravel as a result of the Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine,Syria, Iran problems?

From staff and wire reports
WASHINGTON — Unable to win Senate confirmation, United Nations Ambassador John Bolton will step down when his recess appointment expires, the White House announced this morning.
"It is with deep regret that I accept John Bolton's decision to end his service in the administration as Permanent Representative of the United States to the United Nations when his commission expires," President Bush said this morning in a statement.
Bush gave Bolton the job temporarily in August 2005, while Congress was in recess. That appointment will expire when Congress adjourns, no later than January.

Bolton's nomination has languished in the Senate Foreign Relations Committee for more than a year, blocked by Democrats and several Republicans. The White House resubmitted Bolton's nomination in mid-November.

Zalmay Khalilzad, is a likely candidate according to Hotair.com. he just left as ambassador to Iraq and it is surmised he left to go to the UN.

"The United Nations ambassadorship being vacated by John Bolton, who announced today he will be leaving that post, is a job that may be open to the 55-year-old Khalilzad, according to the administration official."

Probably some loser that the Democrats will approve.

With the departure of Bolton - there goes the last chance of UN reform until the next Republican Congress.

My hope is that he'll appoint Hadley as UN ambassador & then name Bolton as National Security Advisor. He won't need Senate approval for that.

Bolton was doing good, sadly the Demotards hate that and refused to approve him. Once again we see dems are not worried about getting things done.

Another loudmouth ideologically opposed to the existence of the UN. He has a pattern of appointing the fox to guard the henhouse.
