Trade it for a S2000. Seriously, as the old saying goes, "Speed costs, how fast do you want to go?". I will assume that you want your Civic to be QUICK as opposed to FAST. Top end speed is going to be much more difficult to obtain from where you're starting. Depending on your budget and/or mechanical aptitude, the sky (almost) is the limit when it come to Civics. A good start would be to concentrate on the air intake and exhaust systems. These are fairly easy and cheap to upgrade and show immediate results. Also, don't neglect your spark plugs and wires. For other ideas, check out the plethera of "tuner" sites and magazines and don't be afraid to ask the guys you see driving these cars. Tuners, like all car enthusiasts, love to talk about their car! Have fun!

There are many options for sale at your local speed shop for this year civic. Start with a low restriction air intake system, and go for a tuned exhaust system. These two items will make you gain 15 HP. There are performance chips, camshafts, Ignition mods, turbo chargers, headers, NOS systems, and a plethora of things to make a Civic into a pocket rocket.

Depends on your budget. Your best bet IMO would be to keep your d16y8 and boost it. Throw together a turbo, spend maybe $1500-2000 and you'll have a monster that will defeat most anything on the road. Or you could waste your money and swap a b or k series.

I would tell you to get an intake , turbocharger or supercharger.....but you have a civic...they aren't meant to be fast..........just get a better car and then spend your money on that it will be a better investment than on a civic.

Your best bet is an engine swap. get one of the b or k series. you can find them online by searching engine swap. this is a better choice than adding a turbo becasse a turbo will probably have reliability issues.

Drive it off a cliff. You'll accelerate at 32 ft. per second per second. Of course it's likely to be a one-time event. âº
