First of all, growth spurts happen when they happen. It's possible this summer, with exercise and a good diet, you could grow inches!

However, if it's an issue, eat extra protein, take a multivitamin, and make sure you exercise. If you give your body the building blocks and aren't starving your body of nutrition it needs to grow, you can reach your maximum height potential. Depending on your parents' heights, you could have a maximum height of 5' 2" or even of 7' 2".

I give my son a two-to-three egg breakfast in the mornings to get him up and out, make sure he has protein and carbohydrates for lunch, then his snack has protein and carbs in it when he gets home. He gets a healthy dinner with protein, carbs, and veggies. We're pretty good about it, although he does get junk food sometimes (having a little dietary fat-sugar-salt fun isn't going to kill you as long as it's in moderation). My son is nearly 6 feet tall, now, and is turning 14 at the end of January. His Dad is 6'2", and I'm almost 6' tall, so he's probably meant to be pretty tall, in general.

Tips on growing taller and maturing?

Let time pass.

Your height is determined by your genes, there is nothing you can do about it that I know of.

Maturity comes with age and experience. You're 14. Enjoy it. Before you know it, you'll be 24, have to work all day to support yourself, perhaps support a family, put up with crap from a boss who doesn't a damn thing but you have to be nice to anyway, get paid way too little so you can no longer afford those expensive shoes and the newest video games unless someone buys them for you for your birthday or Christmas.

Don't try to grow up so fast. It will come to you in due time.

Look, I can tell you that everyone is different. I am the second-youngest person in the class (at 13, born in June 1993), however there is ONLY ONE person taller than me and that's because he had to re-do 8th grade (year 9). I am a happy 5 foot 8, however my friends range from 5 foot 4 to 6 feet, so remember that everyone is different and that means that eventually you will gorw taller and wiser.

HI. The best thing you can do is be as healthy as possible. This means eat well and get enough rest. I read somewhere you grow the most in your sleep. All my friends who slept in till noon on the weekends in high school ended up being the tallest. Also these are your prime growing years so make sure you eat enough good food (energy) to allow your body to function its best, and remain healthy even after your growth years are done. Above all, accept that your body will grow at its own pace--you can help it, but don't stress too much--you'll probably keep growing until your early 20's if you take good care of yourself!!

God bless!!

you can't alter the way you grow.

when i was 14 i was 5 foot 3

now i am 16 and 6 foot tall and still growing

so i wouldn't worry about it

the odds are you will grow taller

besides height doesn't matter i know i guy who is 5 foot 4 and is the same age as me who is very good at basketball and is incredibly intelligent

so focus on the things you are good at

You are 14, give yourself another 6 to 8 years.

Look at how tall your parents are and that will tell you how tall you will end up as an adult.

My son is 6"3" tall. But he grew 3 of those inches after 18 years of age.

BE PATIENT!!!!

Don't sweat it: You have plenty of time to grow and maybe even get taller than them.

If you eat a good balanced diet and take good care of yourself, your genes will do the rest.

Bobby Brady hung by his arms on the backyard swing for hours. He grew a couple inches. OH forgot, Jan and Cindy were moving his mark on the wall lower to trick him.
