My son was sexually molested and the molestor was NEVER punished...even though they were found guilty...so I may be a little biased. I think we should lock them up in a room with the parents of the abused children and or rape victims and let the victims and parents take care of the problem..whatever they choose to do...let it be..My son's molestor was a family member and I know I may sound bad but it would not bother me one bit to see this person dead..Castration isn't good enough..not for ruining the life of a 5 year old child. He went thru years of H-- and nightmares and everything else because of them...childhood is supposed to be happy carefree times. You are not supposed to live in fear..So yes I do wholewheartedly and it should be a SLOW painful death.

So far, every answer is right on but they don't put child predators and rapists to death. Unless they murder and that is not always true.

I think the courts should approve castration for men ( the larger group of child abusers) and still keep them locked up for a long time.

The problem though, we undermine their constitutional rights by any unusual act, even logical ones. In fact, most state institutions segregate sexual predators inside the prison walls (don't want to upset the general population) and, liberal judges are constantly handing out light sentences.

What can we do other than shoot them? Vote for tougher law and harsher sentences. Elect judges that will issue the maximum penalties.

I think that Texas has recently passed a law whereby if a child predator is arrested a second time for the crime, the death penalty is available.

Personally, as a father of three little girls - if a child predator did something to one of my daughters, no one would find the bastard anyway...I'd make sure of that! I think that they should not only be put to death, but should endure hours, and possibly days of torture at the hands of the parents of the victims.

I think that would put an end to it.

There is no excuse for a grown man to do something like that to children - there is no rehabilitation for people like that.

At the very least they should be branded on their foreheads before they are released, but I don't agree with capital punishment, its like saying that murder is ok sometimes. I don't think that they can be rehabilitated. I would only support such actions though if there was 100% certainty that the culprit was in fact guilty. There are many false accusations and unfortunately convictions as well.
If our prison systems (in the US) were cleaned out of the people who are in on drug charges, who in my opinion don't necessarily need to be there, we could devote a lot more time to the prisoners who need attention and maybe have a positive effect rather than a guaranteed negative one

Even though most of those type of people typically live a life full of hell in a prison because of what they are, I still think that they should be put to death. I dont believe that there is any worse of a crime than a crime against a child. They are helpless and innocent and these monsters take that away from them.

UK: I have always advocated the death penalty for anyone convicted of a serious sexual offense against a child under the age of 10 years. Paedophilia has been proven to be incurable and in this day and age of DNA evidence, the liklihood of a wrong conviction is highly unlikely. Unfortunately, juries would be reluctant to bring back a guilty verdict in such cases................

Their deed was nothing but heinous but morally the answer to your question is no. Them being put to death is unconstitutional. Seems like justice is more for the criminal. I posted a similar question like this before but asked whether or not people who commit heinous crimes should be terminated or tortured the same way they did their victims. I think humans who commit acts of indecency towards other people (murder/rape/torture) and especially children should be put to rest but we don’t have the power to do that and judge these people. We can punish but the ultimate judgment will be from God.

A resounding YES. Incarcerating them in prison only ends up with these perverts enlarging their existing network with the perverts already in jail. The death penalty for these sick s.o.b's should be enforced across the world.

Absolutely. They are sick and nothing can cure them other than death. Better safe than sorry. There is nothing worse than a child predator.

I think that they should have their private part cut off. They cut your hands off if you steal in other countries even though i dont agree with that. When it comes to children if taking their lives is the only way they will stop hurting children im all for it.
